Partner | Wealth Advisor

Clare is a Wealth Advisor and founding partner of Frederick Wells Advisors.  After establishing a successful independent practice in 2012, she met fellow advisor, Jimmy Wells. Based on a mutual vision, they formed a partnership focusing on developing long-lasting financial planning relationships with their growing clientele.  This collaborative team approach has proven to be very successful in fostering creative, personalized strategies designed to align with each client’s unique life goals and preferences. Together they continue to build a leading wealth management firm using advanced technology, astute financial strategies, and operational excellence.

Clare began her professional life in 1984 after earning a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University.  She was appointed Plant Industrial Engineer of a privately held aluminum company, where she directly supervised multiple engineers and led the team in cooperative efforts with all departments.  This resulted in significant process improvements and cost savings.  After eight years as a practicing engineer, Clare made a significant career change.   Using her analytical aptitude and a strong desire to have a direct and positive impact on the lives of others, she moved to the financial services industry. Her strong family background and belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to achieve financial independence continues to serve as the cornerstone of Frederick Wells Advisors.

Clare’s financial services career began at AXA Financial Advisors. She then transitioned to PNC Bank, Hilliard Lyons, and PNC Investments, continually evolving with each transition.  Clare earned her RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional®, conferred by The American College) and AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary®) designations and series registrations: 7 and 63 (held with LPL Financial) and 65 (held with Stratos Wealth Partners), as well as Life Accident and Health Insurance licenses.  She is a life-long learner and a prudent adopter of advanced wealth management strategies.

Clare has served as an elected officer in various capacities for the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and has presented to high school and college students about the professional and personal benefits of an engineering curriculum.  Currently she supports multiple local and national charities, with substantial support towards Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh.

Clare is a long-time resident of Mount Lebanon Township where she and her husband, Scott raised their daughter, Alexandra.  When not working, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, practicing yoga, outdoor activities, travel, and being a music fan.
