Partner | Wealth Advisor

Jimmy is a Wealth Advisor and founding partner of Frederick Wells Advisors. After building a successful wealth management practice, he met fellow advisor Clare Frederick. Together they formed a partnership focusing on building long-lasting financial planning relationships with their growing clientele. This collaborative team approach has proven to be very successful in fostering creative, personalized strategies designed to align with each client’s unique life goals and preferences. Together they continue to build a leading wealth management firm using advanced technology, astute financial strategies, and operational excellence.

Jimmy’s professional career as a financial advisor began over 15 years ago with Ameriprise Financial. In the midst of the Great Recession he had an opportunity to continue building his practice with a small independent firm. In 2016 he found a supportive environment at Stratos Wealth Partners to hone his craft and work in a true partnership while serving his clients’ best interests.

Jimmy’s reliability, trustworthiness, and extensive knowledge of the financial planning process was instrumental in Frederick Wells Advisors development of a successful network of long term, loyal clients.  The firm is committed to a comprehensive, relationship-based financial planning process that integrates services critical to their client’s financial goals, such as proactive investment and tax management strategies, insurance, estate and long-term care planning is what drives their client’s success.

Jimmy earned his B.A.S from the University of Pittsburgh studying Sociology, Psychology and Economics. He earned his CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™) and AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary®) designations and series registrations: 7 (held with LPL Financial) and 66 (held with both LPL Financial and Stratos Wealth Partners) and Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses.

Jimmy joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh in August 2008 and has been a member of its board of directors since 2010. As a little brother, himself, while growing up in Massachusetts, he has been actively involved in mentoring young men within the Pittsburgh community since joining the organization.
